This Time Last Year

October of 2013 saw some changes around this lil blog, and I thought I'd like to take a look back. Won't you join me?

The biggest thing is that I changed the name of my blog from "Just Jennifer" to "Dancing in the Rain". I have been so very happy with that decision! It just so much better represents me and what I'm doing here than a name that millions of other women share.

Incidentally, if by chance you click on a link of mine, on Pinterest for example, and it doesn't bring you here, that's probably because it's attached to the old URL. So just go ahead and replace "justjenniferblog" with "imdancingintherain" and you should be good!

Several months later I wrote a post about the process of changing my blog name, in case you're interested.

The next biggest thing last fall brought was the start of The View From Here series. My friend Kristi at Finding Ninee kicked it off one year ago today! It was a huge accomplishment that I kept it going for a full year. Other regular theme or series posts I've tried to do here all fell by the wayside. But not The View, and I'm proud of that.

Another big thing last year was admitting to how good getting therapy was for me. Seriously, it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself. If you're sitting on the fence thinking about getting counseling, jump off and go. If you find the right person, you won't regret it.

Some other things from last October include:

• First time participating in Blog Action Day.
• I proclaimed  that I am Fierce.
• Said I like being a soccer mom, and I do....but then we didn't sign AJ up for fall soccer this year (totally prefer spring).
• Got fed up with judgy-ness.
• Came up with a way to empower my kids to help their dad in an emergency, and shared so others might benefit.

So yeah, a lot happened last October. A lot has happened since then too, but it really was a notable month, especially for this blog.
