Pet Love

I've posted a couple of pictures of my big fat cat recently, but this picture was taken the other day by my friend Carin who was desperately trying to get a pic of him that would illustrate his size.  This one didn't accomplish that, obviously.  He actually looks quite normal here.

But look how freaking cute he is!

He looks like he's all, "Hi. What? Oh yes, that's right, take your little picture of me if you will.  I will allow it."

Which is so not really his personality.  He is a loud mouth attention hog who enjoys perching himself atop one of my shoulders.

Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow!

Did I mention how fat he is?

It's kind of insane that he wants to lie on my shoulder considering his girth.

I love this cat.  He was my Christmas present last December.  I first introduced him here.

i adopted him at a point in my life when, as my friend Jessica put it, I really needed a WIN.

Finding great cat to adopt = WINNING!

I can't believe I went so long without a cat.  For as much as I dislike scooping his box and that I brought another demanding loud mouth into my life, he is lovey and sweet and cozy and he makes me happy.

Do you have a pet you love and who loves you?

  1. Yes! We have pets that we love, and they love us! It's the BEST! We loved our dog, Cheyenne, for 15 years, and have been loving our Stella puppy for 5 1/2 years; and of course my 30 year old horse, Gabe, I've had for 20 years and my newbie horse, Bandit who is 10 I've had for 5 years. Bandit is really cute when I go to the barn and I whistle, he sees me and whinnies... I LOVE IT!!

  2. I miss my Edith the kitty sooo much. She was such a sweet girl. I am jealous of all the new kitty owners I know.

  3. Very sweet little kitty! I have always had cats. My first love was Callie a calico girl who was by baby from when I was 4 until she passed when I was 16. I loved her dearly. Now, I have my Parker. He is my 75 lb boxer who thinks he is a lap dog.

  4. Aww, what a sweetheart!

I have an 11-year-old pound puppy named Taubensee. (Long story, don't ask! lol) He's been with me through so much, including a pretty nasty divorce a few years ago. He's the best dog EVER. :)
