Some of my favorites from the list include:
- Give a homeless person your doggie bag.
- Help a mother carry her baby stroller up the subway stairs, or hold a door open for her.
- When you're on a crowded train or bus, offer your seat to an elderly, disabled or pregnant person.
- Listen with all your senses.
- Simply say "I'm sorry" when you're wrong.
- Pass along a great book you've just finished reading.
Interesting list. Some of the things on the list I don't consider kindness as much as manners, like holding the door open for a woman with a stroller (or anyone for that matter) or offering your seat to the elderly or pregnant.
ReplyDeleteI love the simple "I'm sorry". So often apologies (including my own) are followed by "but here's why I was justified in doing what I did." I need to work on that.
I agree, Heather. I guess the problem is that manners have fallen by the wayside some. Thanks for reading and commenting!
