A Strong or Extravagant Fondness

This week's Listicle topic is brought to us by Jackie at Not Wifezilla who recently suffered the loss of a good friend and felt inspired by her to ask us: What are your passions?

There are many definitions of "passion", but the ones we're working with today are:
pas-sion (pash-uhn) noun. 1. a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything: a passion for music. 2. the object of such a fondness or desire: Accuracy became a passion with him.
I wouldn't describe myself as a passionate person. I'm pretty middle of the road or on the fence about most things. I've never been able to commit to any political party (although I feel myself getting closer lately). I believe that very few things in life are black and white, that most things are shades of grey.

But there are things I feel strongly about. If that's passion, OK. I'm just not sure.

1. My family & friends

God I love those crazy people!

2. Being a good mom
My kids are my biggest passion, really.

3. Blogging

Don't really need to say much more about this right now, do I?

4. Putting the roll of toilet paper on the right way.
Seriously, one of my biggest pet peeves is toilet paper on backwards!

5. Giving the benefit of the doubt.

This is hilarious, right?
It demonstrates my point well, I think.

6. All people should have all their basic needs -- shelter, food & clothing -- met, at the very least.

I just feel such compassion for the hungry and homeless.
I don't know how anyone can expect a person to function well under those conditions.

7. I should be allowed all the coffee and wine I want.

I don't think it's too much to ask.

8. Kindness

Being kind and courteous to people really doesn't take much effort.
And it can make all the difference in the world.

9. #ShedtheCrap

It's a motto.
A movement.
A hashtag.

10. Comfort

She looks pretty comfy.
I just think life is too short to be uncomfortable.

I was a little bit serious and a little bit cheeky.
Can you tell which is which?

What are you passionate about?

Hey, before you go, be sure to take a look at the cute Did You Know? button at the top of my sidebar, and then check out THIS POST over at motherhood: TRUTH for all the deets! We're doing it TOMORROW!

  2. Love this - I change toilet paper at other people's houses if they don't have it right, it's my disguised service. Also? That wine/coffee rack is a keeper - you should have ALL the coffee and wine you want!

    1. I was dead serious about them all. It's just that others have much loftier passions so I felt a little self-conscious of not.

  8. Ya, I have issues with kids going hungry. Just sponsored another village this morning in Ethiopia. We have so much while others have so little. Sad.

    1. That's great of you. There are hungry kids right here in our neck of the woods too, so I always make it a point to support our local food bank.

  12. Awesome! All the coffee and wine for you! Although I have never been bothered by the toilet paper thing... never even noticed. Heck I'm just happy if someone other than me changes it out!
