LBL = light bladder leakage.
That's right, I'm talking about pee.
You know, we are born unable to control our bladders....and then GIVING BIRTH lessons the control we worked so hard at age two or three to gain!
Full circle? Irony? Cruel joke?
Whatever it is, it's really darn annoying.
I promise you, I have done my share of kegel exercises. And I know I'm not alone in this. I think I have, like, one friend who claims to not have this issue even after having four babies.
I think she's lying.
I even once wrote an entire post about how I had a very full bladder when a sneeze came on and I actually managed to NOT pee myself. Sigh. That was a good day.
Well, I turned 40 last spring and about a month later I caught this nasty virus my son brought home. It caused super fun sinus issues, which led to post nasal drip, which led to lots of coughing.
I could not hold back a drop or two of pee when I coughed! I still can't. I'm not fighting that virus anymore, but my sinuses are still causing me to need to cough (at least a little) pretty much daily.
I am so over it.
Now, I happen to be one who uses pantiliners daily anyhow, so I thought it might be OK, that I wouldn't leak onto my clothes.
I was wrong. Regular pantiliners do not cut it. I started thinking I was going to have to buy something specific for light bladder leakage....
And then the all new Always Discreet products came to Target!
Because I've been using Always products since I started my period, this is a brand I trust. In fact, I have packages of their maxi pads and pantiliners in my bathroom as I type this.
So I love Always and, I mean, who doesn't love Target?
Off I went to choose a product to try!
I decided to go with the Always Discreet Liners, because like I said, I was pretty sure I only needed a LITTLE something more than the pantiliners I was already using.
And I was right. I LOVE these things! I kid you not, they are pretty awesome.
The liner package boasts that the product absorbs 2X more than you may need* (based on average US consumer usage), and I believe it.
I even kind of, shall we say, didn't try as hard as I normally would to not leak, just to give the liners a good test. It was all good.
The package also says that the liners "absorb leaks and odors in seconds".
Odors. Yeah. Pee smells.
You know how we moms have no qualms with sniffing a baby's butt to see if a diaper change is needed? Well, I totally sniffed the liner after having a leak.
No odor.

When I got the opportunity to try this product and write about it, I knew it was relevant to my life, but I had no idea I would be so pleased with it.
I'm sort of giddy about it, actually.
Don't laugh at me!
